Stellar Game Deals This Weekend
I’ve always enjoyed the Dead Rising Games. Dead Rising 3 received some negative attention upon release because it runs in a 720p upscale instead of native resolution. Also, at release it had multiple optimization problems which made it hard to play. The optimization problems have been patched.
Dead Rising 3 is fun because unlike most zombie games, it doesn’t take itself too seriously. Most of the time you can’t figure out if your main character realizes he’s in a zombie parody or not.
At any given point you may have more zombies on the screen then you’ve ever seen. No Worries. Just start smacking them with an uprooted traffic light.
While Dead Rising 3 is doesn’t have a strong plot, the plot it does have is entertaining. If you just want to do some button mashing beatem up zombie killing, Dead Rising is the game for you.
Resident Evil 4 took Resident Evil into the action genre. Resident Evil 4 is considered by many to be one of the best Resident Evil games, despite having more than a few plot holes.
While Resident Evil 4 graphics are a bit dated, The Resident Evil 4 HD Project just released and gives the game a whole graphic overhaul. If you’ve never played a Resident Evil game, four is a great starting point.
It takes two is by the same developers of A Way Out. Similar to A Way Out, you can only play It Takes Two in Co-Op Mode.
It Takes Two highly remind me of games like Unravel Two. The story is fantastic, the graphics are stellar, and gameplay is an absolute blast.
Right now It Takes Two is at a historic low. It’s well worth picking up as long as you have a friend to play with. Your friends can play with you remotely even if they don’t own the game.
Lost In Random has quickly become one of my favorite games. With its fairytale-esc Tim Burton environment and unique combat system Lost In Random is a very unique game.

Far: Changing Tides is currently pre-release so I haven’t had a chance to play it. Normally I wouldn’t recommend a pre-release but the reviews have been ecstatic. At $15 it is a great deal pre-release.
Before I even start with this one, I want to clear the elephant in the room. I recently had decided not to promote any Newegg offers based on the way they have been treating their customers. It currently appears they are trying to change their practices, so I am giving them a cautious benefit of the doubt currently.
Mortal Kombat made history when it was released in 1991 and changed the direction of all fighter style games. It stirred massive controversy due to the amount of violence and made headlines everywhere. Even congress had a debate about violence in video games often siting Mortal Kombat and Grand Theft Auto.
Since its initial release, Mortal Kombat has gotten better with each reiteration. Mortal Kombat 11 has added the fatal blow and krushing blow mechanics. These can change the course of a battle within seconds.
For a $7 Mortal Kombat 11 is a real steal. This is one I wouldn’t pass up.
