Every Month there are free paid games for PC. The amount of sources for free paid games has even grown in the last couple months. For April there are 93 Free Paid Games Available. Some of these come free with other services, while others are free for anyone to claim. Let’s see what we can play for free this month!

Free Paid Games April Sources
Amazon Prime Gaming
Amazon Prime members get free paid games monthly. Some of these are AAA games, while others are less known indie titles. You can access these games in two ways. There is an Amazon gaming app you can download for Windows, or you can go to gaming.amazon.com to claim your games.
I recommend using the website and the app together. Occasionally there is a game that will show up on the website that does not show up on the app. In addition, Prime members also get free loot for games such as Grand Theft Auto 5, Paladins, Lost Ark, and More.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion GOTY Edition

Oblivion may not have the most up to date graphics, but it is still one of my favorite Elder Scrolls games. It was one of the first games I played where choices can effect the rest of your game. After killing a few guards, I had to play the entire rest of the game in stealth mode.
Another thing that I like better than Skyrim, the quests don’t hold your hard as much as they do in Skyrim. Because of this, you have to figure out more on your own, and in some cases have to engage in the Lore to complete your quest. My favorite quests have to be the Arena quests, which were sadly missing from Skyrim. I loved battling to become King of the Arena.
If you’ve never played The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion, you are missing out. It is easily one of the best RPG’s Ever Made.
Plants Vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville

I haven’t played Plants Vs. Zombies since Gardan Warfare. I highly look forward to trying out a much newer an updated Plants Vs. Zombies game. I am really looking forward to the new game modes.
If this even half lives up to Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare, I have no doubt that it will be amazing.
Galaxy of Pen and Paper

Galaxy of Pen and Paper is a nice little indie RPG with good humor and many pop culture references including Star Trek, Star Wars, Lost In Space, and more. While the writing is entertaining, the amount of typos that were left in the game is also a bit amusing. Grammer and Spelling snobs, beware.
In Galaxy of Pen and Paper you develop a team from 8 unique classes of characters to take on this roughly 9-hour adventure with you. One nice thing is that if you want to switch classes on a character midway through the game, you are not penalized. This gives you the opportunity to reinvent you team if need be.
There are two types of combat as you go through your quests in Galaxy of Pen and Paper. One is the standard turn based combat, which is what we are used to, and nothing spectacular. The other is the ship combat, in which a player rolls a dice to see how many points they have to spend in that round.
I found the main story interesting, but the side quests are a bit shallow and seem rather pointless. Overall, not a bad game.
Nanotale

Nanotale is a typing RPG. You play as Roselind who has just turned 18 and is taking her place in the world as a full-fledge archivist. In Nanotale, that means someone who uses magic and catalogs nature. During the final training you find out the the Ancestorial Forest is Corrupted. You must set out to find a cure and save your home.
If you’ve never played a typing-based RPG it actually is a fun mechanic. I know you probably read typing RPG and have already decided Nanotale isn’t worth playing. I recommend giving it a go. It is surprisingly fun, and may even give a slight increase to your typing speed.
Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: Lechuck's Revenge

While Tales of Monkey Island, released in 2019, was a wonderful remake of a beloved game, it had some flaws. While it looked beautiful there was a mess of complex menus, odd inputs, and design decisions that made the game hard to enjoy. Monkey Island 2 Special Edition has left all of these problems in the past, where we can just enjoy gameplay.
Guybrush Threepwood, after killing the ghost of Pirate Le’Chuck, arrives on Scab Island rich with gold. He now plans on hunting the Lost Treasure of Big Whoop.
The voice acting and visuals are both an improvement on The Secret of Monkey Island. The storytelling, and stories within stories, and phenomenal. After 5 minutes with this game, it is hard to step away from it because it is so engaging.
Last year Amazon included The Secret of Monkey Island. For those who made it through that muddled mess, you’ll be happy the see where the story goes from here.
Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion

In Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion, you play as a Turnip who is an absolute menace to society. While Turnip Boy is a short game (2 hours), it is incredibly humorous with multiple pop culture references.
Turnip Boy is an old school Zelda like RPG complete with puzzles, combat, and dungeons. Turnip Boy is another game that could have used a spell check before being released. There are numerous spelling errors throughout the game.
All of the characters are veggies and fruits complete with sass, humility, and anger issues. Funny thing is, the tax evasion part only comes up in the beginning of the game as Mayor Onion has to talk to Turnip Boy about his taxes. It just a reason to send Turnip Boy on a quest of exploration through the land.
Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion is very entertaining and well worth the 2-3 hours of playtime it takes to complete.
Epic games store gives out free games weekly and 15 this last holiday season. Games are released, and expire, every Thursday at 10am Central Time.
Let’s see what free paid pc games you can get in January from Epic. Just like last month, we will release a mid-month update since not all of Epic’s free games have been announced.
So far these are the free paid pc games you can get in January from Epic Games.
Riverbond (4-21-22 / 4-27-22)

Riverbond claims to be a co-op pixel pretty dungeon crawler and that is exactly what it is. No intense stories, no RPG experience, just dungeon crawling at its finest.
Play with up to 3 friends on a dungeon crawling adventure to save 9 realms. Riverbond may not have the depth of some more complex games, but it does have what matters, a ton of fun with a large cuteness factor.

The Amnesia series is wonderful psychological horror using light, darkness, and exploration as primary mechanics.
Amnesia: Rebirth has a completely new story compared to the prior entries in the series. The opening is a plane crash smack dab in the center of the Sahara Desert. You play as Tasi and wake up alone after the plane crashes. You have no memories of the plane crash, your colleagues, or why your work has gone to hell.
Even more interesting, a sickness flows throughout your veins, causing bouts of uncontrollable rage. You see a cave nearby and enter, not realizing, this was the true beginning of your psychological horror.
Just Die Already (Available 4-28-22 / 5-5-22)
I had a lot of fun with Just Die Already, for about 3 hours. After that it felt extremely repetitious.
You play as an old guy living in a retirement home. All of the sudden, you decide it’s time to take on that bucket list. You grab your list, and head out into the world.
Your Bucket list contains some crazy things like set yourself on fire or electrocuting yourself. In addition to your dangerous list, the world outside of the retirement home is full of hazards that can kill you at anytime. As you knock things off your bucket list, the hazards increase, making it harder to survive in this crazy world.
As I said, Just Die Already is fun, until it starts to feel repetitive.
Paradigm (Available 4-28-22 / 5-5-22)

I haven’t had a chance to play this, but Paradigm looks like an interesting game.
The plot of Paradigm revolves around genetically engineering perfect children to rule the wealthy class. This constantly makes the player think about rich vs poor equality.
Paradigm was designed to make you think about multiple philosophical questions. I’m not sure if it succeeds, but it sounds like an interesting concept.
Amazon Luna
Released in March, Amazon Luna is a game streaming service that allows Prime members to stream a few games for free each month. The current games are playable until 4-30-22, at which point they will be replaced with different games. One nice thing about Luna is not only can you play games on your computer, but also your cell phone.
Mortal Shell

Mortal Shell is a Souls-Like. When I say a Souls-Like, I haven’t played a game more similar to a Souls game then Mortal Shell. It is almost like playing a compact Souls game with its 12-17 hour runtime.
Similar to Dark Souls it has a vague story, enemies that kill you in a single hit, moody landscapes, and NPC’s spewing nonsense that doesn’t make any sense. The Souls influence is abundant throughout the entire game.
Despite all the similarities, it does add its own unique elements. One of the big ones is that you start as a Wraith-like creature that can barely take a hit. You can possess one of four warriors who are scattered across the land giving you different strength, and abilities. Each warrior requires a massively different playstyle adding a unique flavor to the game.
There is also a “harden” mechanic that allows you to turn your warrior to stone for one blow. This allows for some combat strategies unique to Mortal Shell.
If you are a fan of the Fromsoftware style game, I highly recommend giving Mortal Shell a go.
Amnesia Rebirth

I have found Amnesia Rebirth to be the best Amnesia game to date. With a 7-10 hour playtime, there is plenty of time to beat it while it is still free on Luna for Prime Members.
Tracks Toybox Edition

Tracks Toybox Edition is a sandbox game in which you build small wooden train tracks. You pick from a range of canvas such as a bedroom, a living room, or the moon and then get to work building your train set. You can even build your line with fun obstacles such as jumps.
Tracks is a game I enjoy after I’ve had a stressful day and just want to relax. It’s fun to see what you can create and is a very low stress game.
The King Of Fighters 98

King of Fighters 98′ Final Edition is the classic fighting game with a few extra features. It now has lobbies and allows online play. Graphics and playstyle wise it almost identical to the version released in 98′.
Indiegala
Indiegala always has a small collection of free games they are giving away available. To access these titles, go to Indigala.com, click on showcase, then click of freebies. From here you can claim any of the freebies currently available. The freebies will be updated when we do our April Free Paid Games Update as well to keep the post up to date.
King of Dragon Pass
King of Dragon pass was originally released in 1999 and was highly overlooked at that time. In King of Dragon Pass you rule the world of Glorantha.
The entire game is based on the decisions you make as a leader and the outcomes. Your goal? To win people over with smart decisions.
You’ll have a counsel of seven nobles to advise you and help you make the best decisions to achieve your goals.
It’s interesting that Indiegala brought back a game from 1999 as a freebie, but hopefully that will help it get the recognition it deserved the first time around.
Beefense

Beefense is what happens when your combine tower defense and bees. While it may sound silly, it’s a surprisingly good title.
You play as a faction of bees loyal to, wait for it, Queen Bee. A rival faction controlled by Queen Hornetta won’t stop sending fleas, moths, hornets, and zombees at you.
The game consists of 26 levels. It’s a decent amount of content for what it is. I’d highly recommend picking up Beefense while it’s free on Indiegala. There is a good chance it will surprise you with how good it is.
Die Young Prologue

Die Young Prologue is the prologue to the Die Young Game (Duh!). It’s actually one of the better shooter style games I’ve played. It takes a lot more thought and strategy than most shooters. Playing the Die Young Prologue makes me excited to play the full game.
Humble Trove
In addition to the monthly Humble Choice Bundle, Humble Bundle subscribers also get access to the Humble Trove.
The Humble Trove has 70+ DRM free games that Humble Choice subscribers can download and play at any time.
