holiday deals on pc games

This year we have seen more holiday deals on PC Games than ever, but we are almost to the end.  Most of the holiday deals on PC games end between today and Jan 5th.

Today we will list 5 great holiday deals on PC Games and give an update for the last day of the Epic Holiday Giveaway.

Epic Holiday Sale and Giveaway Update

In case you missed all of our previous posts Epic is attaching a $10 coupon to all accounts.  The coupon is good for all games $14.99 and over.  By combining the coupon with Epics Holiday Sale you can get hella savings.

In addition, you can use the coupon on multiple purchases and stack the discount.

As expected from the leaks we posted yesterday, Epic’s Holiday Game Giveaway game for today is Salt And Sanctuary.

If the leaks are correct, tomorrow Epic will start giving away the Tomb Raider Rebooted Trilogy.

salt and sanctuary
Metacritic 84% / Steam Very Positive

Salt and Sanctuary is a 2d platformer with RPG elements set in a very stylized island.

The art style is wonderful and sets the tone for the game.  The combat system is phenomenal with a whole plethora of weapons to choose from.   The bosses are unique and there are plenty of them to fight.

The biggest drawback of this game?  No map.  While it’s not a game killer in this specific style of game, it would make the gameplay so much better.

Claim this before 12/30/21 at 10am CT to keep forever.

Holiday Deals on PC Games for Today

Doom - Gamebillet - $3.98

Metacritic 85% Steam Overwhelmingly Positive

The Doom franchise is one of the most iconic and influential in gaming history.  When I heard there was going to be a reboot, I was scared.   Luckily, they pulled it off and managed to do so better than few reboots ever have or will.

The rebooted Doom games actually have significantly more plot than the originals.  Gameplay is a blast.

It’s important to note that Doom Eternal is also on sale and can be found for $12.86 here.

If you’ve somehow managed to never play a doom game, now is your chance.

Crysis Remastered - Epic Games - $4.99 w/ coupon

crisis remastered
Metacritic 69% / Steam Mixed

Let me be clear, there is a reason for the mixed reviews.  I don’t recommend this game for everyone.

When the original Crysis came out, if your computer could run it, it was a testament to how good your computer was.  The same is true with the remaster.  While the graphics are beautiful, the optimization is horrible.

I do not recommend this unless you have a high end process and new (GTX 3000 series) graphics card.  The game runs horrible on any hardware less than 2 years old.

If you have older hardware I would recommend buying the original Crysis.  The original Crysis is currently $4.99 at

Death Stranding - Epic Games - $8.99 w/coupon

death stranding
Metacritic 86% / Steam Very Postive

Death Stranding is an interesting game.  It’s the type of game that you will either love or hate.

You know all the side quests of fetching objects in games?  That is the entirety of Death Stranding.

Some unique attributes of the game are the balance system.  Not only do you have to take objects from point a to point b.  You have to balance with those objects.  The balance aspect adds a whole different aspect to the game.  A task you think should take 2 minutes may take 20 because of how often you lose your balance.

Death Stranding also has a great story.  You have Norman Reedus being Norman Reedus.  It’s extremely sad, and if you’re a story focused gamer, will get sucked in.

Holiday deals on PC games don’t come along like this every day.  I would recommend picking this up if you are a story focused gamer.  You won’t be disappointed.

Undertale - Steam - $2.99

Metacritic 92% / Steam Overwhelmingly Positive

If you haven’t heard of Undertale I’d be surprised.  It’s one of those games that every gamer should play.

While it looks like a simple indie RPG, what it actually is, is amazing!  There are tons of Undertale Memes.  What they normally don’t tell you is that Undertale is amazing!

You will laugh.  You will cry.  You will finish the game stunned and in absolute silence.

While it may not be the prettiest game, even graphics snobs should give it a chance.  For those who don’t, it’s your lose, because Dink said so.

elite dangerous
Metacritic 80% / Steam Mostly Positive

Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen both started out as Kick Starter campaigns.  They both started their campaigns at approximately the same time.  The game ideas and concepts were remarkably similar.  Elite Dangerous became a playable game in 2014.  Star Citizen is on track to be released in 2081.

Elite Dangerous is a space exploration game with game play being extremely open ended.  You can be a taxi, a trader, or a space pirate.

With Elite Dangerous operating in an MMO environment there are hundreds of ways to play the game.

I will state that this game is not good for those who want a lot of direction on where to go and what to do in a game.  Elite Dangerous is really an MMO Space Sandbox.

Pick it up today before the holiday deals on PC games end!
