FAQ How Do We Decide Which Games / Offers to List

  • Dink

game offer selection process

At Dinks Dirt Cheap Gaming, we believe in transparency.  As such we wanted to let everyone know how we select which games / offers to list.

For instance, on yesterday’s post, “6 Games On Sale You Definitely Want!“, how did we select the games?

Before we can answer how we select the games, we have to give a little bit more information.

Affiliate and Partner Programs

We do have a few affiliate or Partner programs.  Currently we are partnered with Humble Bundle, Green Man Gaming, GameBillet, and Amazon.

That being said, if you pay attention, the majority of our links do not come from those sites.

Just like anyone else, we love to make money, but we will not let that ruin our integrity.  Our affiliate relationships do not have any influence of how we select the games to promote, or how we review games.

What do you use to Select the Games / Offers to promote

We use a multitude of factors when deciding which games to promote.  These include the popularity of the game, the amount of discount, reviews of the game (user and critic), and our own personal opinion of the game.

The flow we use to select the games / offers to promote goes pretty much in the exact order above.  We try to provide the best dirt cheap game offers.

We want everyone to be able to save money and get quality games.  The same process goes for any computer hardware deals we may list.

Now, if we are just reviewing a game, it is either a new game and we want to give people an idea of what to expect, or it massively surprised us in either a positive or negative way.

An example of this would be our review of Outriders.  I tried the game after hearing multiple negative reviews, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun the gameplay was.

Summary of How We Select The Games

As content creators, we always want to have integrity with our readers.  The only thing that influences us on which game to select on is it the best game with the best deal to tell people about that day.

Make sure to sign up to our email mailing list, or follow us on Facebook so you never miss a deal or interesting gaming news.
